Leading Afterschool Care Program
Trinity Amarillo is the leading afterschool care program in the greater Amarillo area. Together with our local Trinity Church, we provide low or no cost after school and before school programs to those who need it. Our recent affiliation with the local tutoring center also allows us to have local teachers available to children who would like to get their homework done while taking part in our after care program. Before and after care are available to students from kindergarten through senior year with a special focus on SAT Preparation for the older kids in both the spring and fall. College counselors are also available during this time to assist with applications and questions.
Hot Breakfast Daily!
The before care program begins at 7 am and runs until the first school bell at 8:45. Students are escorted to their classrooms by an aide available for each grade level. After school care begins at 2pm for the older kids and runs until 7pm. Should a parent need a later pick-up, a form must be presented in writing no later than 24 hours before the first requested pickup time. Our before care programs provides a hot breakfast daily and our after care program has snacks and drinks available daily with dinner available to families who qualify. Our tutoring program is available to all and intramural sports are an option for children wishing to participate, weather permitting. Many older students volunteer as homework helpers for the younger kids, once they have completed their homework for the day and have demonstrated a sincere love of learning which they wish to pass on to their peers. All homework helpers are guided by a licensed teacher, provided by the local tutoring center. Trinity Amarillo after and before school care is a great opportunity for parents to continue working, while ensuring that their children are being watched over in a loving safe environment.
